The NDP is again more than willing to throw its truncated support to the Liberals. I hope the Libs are smarter than entering into another supply and management agreement. Now, more than ever, we need a coalition government that includes the Conservative Party that is far more sensible than the champagne socialists. Michele Garner Rempel is the obvious top choice, and so is Pierre Poilievre. Canada needs unity not division.

Zdenek Kutac

(Pretty high hopes you have there.)

Now you see it, now you don’t

Revenge is a dish best served cold.  Alberta has coordinated world events to exact its revenge on Canada.  The Edmonton Oilers in 2025 will win the Stanley Cup, seeming to end the 32 year drought of a Canadian team winning a Stanley Cup. Just when Canada thinks the drought is over, Alberta separates to snatch the cup away from Canada. Slide trombone, please!

What a waste

Why are we wasting our resources on a useless referendum? There are far more important issues for Albertans than Smith’s obsession with Ottawa. She just announced she was encouraged with her meeting with Carney, and then she does this!  If she was as focused on the needs of Albertans and what they want, she would call a by-election so the NDP leader could face her in the Legislature! My Canada includes both Alberta and Quebec.

Harry Robinson

(United as one, but we’re all treated differently by Ottawa.)

About that election

Here we go again under Communist/Liberal tyranny. All those who voted Liberal are just as equally part of the problem as Mark Carney’s government. His voters are SHEEPLE following him like a sheep. They have been duped and lied to. After listening to him on the election coverage his speech rang hollow and deceptive.

Let industry thrive

Alberta governments have a spending problem, and then we argue with Ottawa and blame them for our need for more money. Here is the solution. Remove the provincial corporate tax base from their hands. A corporate provincial tax free zone will save us. Free enterprise will create well paid jobs. The see-saw of Alberta’s economy will stop. The government won’t stop spending but they’ll not be able to kill prosperity by taxing the hell out of industry.

Abram Wiebe

(We rather enjoy some of the things that money is spent on. No company will care if my road has potholes, my kids are educated or my healthcare needs are met. A good paying job doesn’t fix everything.)
