Prince Andrew’s defence backfires

Lady Victoria Hervey, an English socialite and former model, made controversial remarks as she attempted to defend Prince Andrew on Piers Morgan show recently.

While defending Andrew, the Duke of York, in relation to his association with Jeffery Epstein in a panel discussion, she went on to blame Israel for attempting to undermine the British Royal Family.

Hervey, who briefly dated Prince Andrew in 1999, refused to corroborate her claim on Morgan’s show.

According to observers, her attempt to protect Andrew by naming a foreign country might end up damaging the royal.

Additionally, the woman also claimed that a widely circulated photo of Prince Andrew with Virginia Giuffre  was staged with body doubles.

Her support for Prince Andrew was seen by some social media users as indirectly benefiting Sarah Ferguson, his ex-wife who continues to live with the King’s younger brother despite their divorce.

In a 2022 interview, Harvey claimed that Ghislaine Maxwell used her as “bait” to attract women to Epstein’s parties when she was young and naïve, having met Maxwell and Epstein 20 years prior.

Furthermore, she also posted a controversial comment on  Giuffre’s reported suicide claiming the death of Prince Andrew accuser was due to “lies catching up with her,” sparking widespread outrage.

Virginia Giuffre, one of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent accusers, died by suicide, her family last week.

Giuffre was one of the first people to call for criminal prosecution against Epstein, which he eventually faced. Epstein was charged with sex trafficking in July 2019.

In 2022, Giuffre settled a lawsuit in which she accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her as a teenager at Epstein’s mansion in New York and on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little St. James.
