Elden Ring Goes Multiplayer in Monumental Launch
Rise Nightfarer, for you are Tarnished no more. Yet, it’s time to return to the universe of Elden Ring. Only this time, a new set of challenges await you and your friends. Today, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment are happy to announce the release of their standalone multiplayer co-op action survival game, Elden Ring Nightreign. Launching to the tune of 2 million units sold, Nightreign is a first for a soulslike from Fromsoft. With a focus on multiplayer and roguelike elements, the game takes a familiar universe and makes it new. A press release provides more details. Additionally, gamers can check out a launch trailer for a taste of what awaits them in this new world.
Elden Ring Nightreign introduces players to the unforgiving world of Limveld. Here, players will dive into ever-shifting and evolving gameplay that ensures every run will not be the same. Of course, the game grabs from familiar soulslike mechanics and bosses from Elden Ring proper. However, in this game, players will choose from from one of eight unique Nightfarers, each with its own unique weapons and abilities. Once they choose, players will jump into the game where they need to be making quick decisions between exploration and combat. Yet, each session will include changing enemies, biomes, weapons, and more.
