Dylan Dreyer has revealed what Sheinelle Jones is doing during her absence from the Today 3rd Hour show.

While conversing with E! News at the 2025 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville on Saturday, May 3, the 43-year-old American meteorologist opened up about her co-host’s continuous absence during a “family health matter.”

Speaking of Jones, Dreyer shared, “She’s doing all right. She’s hanging in there. We’re praying for her and her family. You know, she’s just going through a tough time with her family.”

“We talk to her every day. One of us on the team talks to her every single day, and we’re there to support her, and we’ll welcome her back with open arms the second she can get back to us,” she added.

For the unversed, Jones, who co-hosts 3rd Hour with Dreyer, Al Roker and Craig Melvin, has been absent from the show since December 2024.

Notably, she spoke out about her absence in January on Instagram by writing, “I sincerely appreciate all of you who have reached out while I’ve been absent from the show. I want to share with you that I’m taking time to deal with a family health matter.”

“It’s not lost on me how lucky I am to have not only the support of my Today show family, but to also have all of you. Your kindness means so much to me. I’ll see you soon,” Jones stated.

It is pertinent to mention that in a talk with Entertainment Weekly earlier this month, Carson Daly said he is not certain about the 47-year-old American journalist’s return to the show.
