EPFO has simplified updating EPF profiles for members with Aadhaar-verified UANs, eliminating the need for document uploads. This change reduces delays and errors, benefiting many EPF members.

EPFO has decided interest rates for 2024-25 on PF deposits.
Updating your personal details in your EPF account just got easier. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has streamlined the process, allowing members with Aadhaar-verified Universal Account Numbers (UAN) to update their profiles without the hassle of uploading documents.
Simplified Profile Updates
Previously, updating your EPF profile involved employer verification, leading to delays of up to 28 days. Now, if your UAN is linked to your Aadhaar, you can update various details directly, including your name, date of birth, gender, nationality, parents’ names, marital status, spouse’s name, date of joining, and date of leaving.
It’s important to note that if your UAN was issued before October 1, 2017, any profile updates will still require employer approval. Additionally, ensure your Aadhaar and PAN are linked to your EPF account to avoid delays in approvals or withdrawals.
Benefits And Impact
This initiative is expected to benefit a significant number of EPF members, with EPFO stating that almost 45% of change requests can now be self-approved. This streamlined process ensures data accuracy, reduces errors, and provides a more efficient and user-friendly experience for EPF members.
