Battle Childhood Trauma in Miryam: The Polluted Land
6.5F Studio and Vsoo Games have announced that Miryam: The Polluted Land is launching on March 28, 2025 on Steam. It is a unique game that blends strategic tower defense and psychological storytelling. This game takes players on an emotional journey through the mind of a child struggling with trauma.
You play as ten-year-old Miryam, a girl caught between loneliness and neglect. Bullied at school and ignored at home, she whispers a wish in frustration: “I wish you would disappear.” Then, her baby brother vanishes. In an instant, she is cast into the Land of Nod, a cursed realm filled with grotesque creatures that seem eerily familiar. Each enemy she faces reflects a painful piece of her past, from schoolyard tormentors to the silent suffocation of neglect.
To survive, you must build defensive structures and hold back relentless waves of horrors. Every battle is more than a fight for survival. It is a confrontation with Miryam’s deepest fears and unresolved pain. The deeper she ventures, the more she questions whether she is truly searching for her brother or trying to escape her own suffering.
Miryam: The Polluted Land offers a fresh take on tower defense. Instead of traditional resource collection, the focus is on strategic placement and managing limited tools. More than forty unique enemies emerge from Miryam’s fears, and over twenty defensive structures stand between her and the darkness closing in.
6.5F Studio aims to highlight the lasting impact of childhood trauma and the strength it takes to face it. Through Miryam’s journey, players are invited to reflect on struggles often ignored and recognize the importance of supporting those who feel lost and unheard.
